The policy limit is 1 GB per file, in MP4, WebM or MOV. Until the storage project limit is raised, each object is capped at 50 MB, so a long recording should be exported at a bitrate that lands under that figure or split into chapters. Every upload is probed in your browser before it leaves your machine: duration, width and height are read from the file, and a thumbnail is captured at the quarter mark, which you can replace with your own image at any time.

Your videos and thumbnails live in private storage buckets, and every playback request is answered with a signed URL that expires. Nothing is served from a public path, so a file cannot be hotlinked from another site or fetched by someone who guesses a name. The link is minted for the viewer at the moment they open the page, which is how a private or unlisted video stays exactly as private as you set it while still playing instantly.

Your subscribers are rows in a table you own, not reach you rent. Every subscription records who followed your channel and when, and that list is yours to export from Studio at any time. Your videos are files you uploaded and can download back. If you decide to broadcast somewhere else, you take the list, the files and the chapter data with you, and nothing about the platform is designed to make that harder than it should be.

You go live where you already stream, on YouTube Live or Twitch, and paste the link here. The room renders the platform's own embedded player beside our realtime chat, so the stream is still their player and still their view count. Your ad revenue and channel points keep working exactly as before. What changes is the room around it: your members, your chat, your schedule, and a replay that keeps the conversation beside the recording.

The fee applies to member revenue only: the monthly amount your paying members send you through the platform. On Broadcaster it is 5 percent, on Studio 3 percent, and on Network and Founders Lifetime it is 0 percent. It does not apply to your subscription price, to anything you earn on YouTube or Twitch through the Live Stage, or to any sale you make outside the platform. Card processing at 2.9 percent plus 30 cents per charge is separate and is shown in the Ledger.

Founders Lifetime is one payment of $1,490 for the Studio plan with the Network fee, for as long as the platform exists. That means your own domain, four seats, scheduled rooms with the chat kept beside the replay, every theme, and 0 percent on member revenue. There are 100 seats in total and the pricing page prints how many remain. A Founders seat is tied to one channel and moves with it if you rename the channel or change its handle.

MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio plays everywhere and is the safe choice. WebM and MOV are also accepted. Files play as uploaded, without a transcoding step, so the resolution and bitrate you export are the ones your viewers receive. For thumbnails, banners and avatars, JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 8 MB are accepted. Chapters are typed as one line each, a timestamp and a title, and become clickable markers on the watch page.

Deleting a video removes the database row first, which takes it out of every feed, playlist and search result at once, and then removes the file and its thumbnail from storage. Likes, comments and watch history attached to it are removed with the row. Deleting a playlist removes the list only; the videos in it stay. Deleting a comment marks it removed in place so a thread keeps its shape, and the text is no longer shown. Nothing you delete is kept in a hidden state for later.
